The Do Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage to two of Uttarakhand’s most revered shrines — Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple — nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas. This spiritual journey offers devotees a profound blend of devotion, natural beauty, and inner peace. Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, stands at an altitude of 3,583 meters near the Mandakini River, surrounded by snow-clad peaks. Pilgrims can reach the temple via a scenic trek from Gaurikund or opt for convenient helicopter services.
Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is situated at 3,133 meters along the banks of the Alaknanda River, with the magnificent Neelkanth Peak in the backdrop. Devotees take a holy dip in Tapt Kund before seeking blessings at the temple and exploring nearby Mana Village.
The Do Dham Yatra can be undertaken by road for a traditional and immersive Himalayan experience or by helicopter for a quicker, more comfortable journey with VIP darshan benefits. Operating between May and October, this pilgrimage is ideal for families, senior citizens, and spiritual seekers looking for divine blessings amidst breathtaking mountain landscapes.
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Haridwar to Guptkashi / Sonprayag. Enroute visit Devprayag & Rudraprayag Sangam. Later via Moolgarh & Lambgoan. En-route you can see the beautiful River Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi/Sonprayag. Check into the hotel
on arrival in Sonprayag. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.
Guptakashi
The name Gupt Kashi means “Hidden Benares”. Mythology describes how the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva. Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from there further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. The Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months.
Weather Pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Slightly cold in winters.
Proceed for Kedarnath Darshan. Visit Gaurikund, Kedarnath Temple, Sankracharya Samadhi, Bhim Shila, Bhairo Baba, GuptKund.
Option 1: By Trek
Early morning check-out at 3 AM from the Hotel and drive to Sonprayag and catch the government jeep for Gauri Kund (6 Kms/ Charges Rs. 30/-). From there start the trek to Shri Kedarnath Ji. After 17kms / 6-8 hrs trek reach at Kedarnath Ji, have darshan and perform Pooja. Overnight Stay at Kedarnath Ji or can return back and stay at Sitapur.
Option 2: By Helicopter (Extra Cost)
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Helipad at Guptkashi / Phata or Sersi, according to the reporting time provided by the Helicopter Company and board the helicopter for Shri Kedarnath Ji. After 10 minutes of flying, reach at helipad at Kedarnath Ji, have darshan & Perform Pooja, and overnight
Stay at Kedarnath ji or can return and stay at Sitapur.
Kedarnath
The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. According to legend, the Pandavas sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the
form of a bull.
Weather
Due to its high altitude the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for most part of the year. Summer here is cool and pleasant while winter is severe cold. During summer season the temperature varies around 5-10°Celsius. Heavy woollen wear is recommended.
Option 1: By Trek
Early morning start the trek again and reach GauriKund.
Further drive to Guptkashi / Sonprayag for the Overnight Stay.
Option 2: By Helicopter (Extra Cost)
Early Morning reach to helipad and catch the helicopter. Fly back to Sitapur. On arrival check-in to the hotel for Overnight stay at Sonprayag. After the spiritual experience at Kedarnath, begin your journey back to Sonprayag. Whether you choose the scenic trek through the Himalayan foothills or the swift helicopter ride, you’ll have time to reflect on the divine blessings received at this sacred shrine. Rest and rejuvenate at your hotel in Sonprayag before continuing to the final destination of your pilgrimage.
After anormal and comfortable wakeup and breakfast we will proceed to Badrinath Ji Via Chopta-Pipalkoti-Joshimath- Govindghat. The road from Sonprayag to Chopta and then to Pipalkoti and then to Joshimath is better. We will reach Badrinath in evening and night stay in Shree Badrinath. If we reach on time then we can make short visit to temple to participate in evening Aarti. Normally you cannot hold your mind or resist of visit temple or Darshanam of shree Badrinath Ji (Moksha Dham) upon reach there.
Badrinath
One of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3300 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once
carpeted with wild berries. Thus, the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.
Tapt Kund
Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple.
Weather
The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year.
Morning after darshan of Badrinath Ji & breakfast, you can check-out from the hotel and proceed to
Haridwar. Upon reach proceed to hotel check-in for Overnight stay.
Haridwar
Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India’s Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps. Worshipers fill the city during major festivals including the annual Kanwar Mela.
As you journey back to Haridwar, carry with you the blessings and spiritual energy of the four sacred dhams. This final leg of your pilgrimage brings you back to where the Ganges begins its journey to the plains, completing your sacred circle.
After morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel, proceed to end the divine Journey. Departure to
Haridwar with sweet memories of Uttarakhand in your mind.

The excitement begins with your arrival in Dehradun. Our teams will arrange pickup from Dehradun Airport or Railway station. Our Chardham Yatra starts in the lap of luxury, surrounded with nature. Nestled on the foothills of Queen of Hills Mussoorie, amidst picturesque Malsi forest and majestic Himalayan range, lies the sprawling campus of Hotel Hyatt Regency, Dehradun, the first 5-star deluxe hotel of Dehradun. Our journey for Chardham Yatra starts here and makes the yatra filled with
everlasting memories.
Passengers can relax in the hotel on Day One or plan any local sightseeing on their own on this day. Our teams will meet all passengers at 7.30PM in hotel lobby and brief them about travel plans.
IMPORTANT – All passengers MUST note that ONLY 5 KG baggage is allowed per
passenger in the helicopter. Excess baggage will not be allowed to go onboard.
Aviation will provide small duffle bags for each passenger in which the luggage will
have to be shifted. No other bags or suitcases will be permitted to go on board.
Helicopter flying starts at 12.30 PM. All passengers for the Do Dham Yatra are advised
to positively leave their hotel by 11:30 AM.
After a short briefing passengers will board their helicopters for onward journey. Our pilots are specially trained to give exciting commentary to passengers about the mesmerizing views of Snow-clad Himalayan peaks and all the important sites falling enroute the helicopter route. Some of them will also tell you mythological stories about Do Dham yatra during the helicopter ride.

Arrival at Sersi Helipad to changeover of Helicopter to reach Kedarnath Helipad (Due to heavy traffic of helicopters at Kedarnath the charter helicopter may not get permission to fly direct and we may have to go via shuttle operators)
• We will land at Sersi helipad in Kedar valley. This is our base point for Kedarnath. From Sersi, passengers will be transferred to Kedarnath by helicopter shuttle. Upon arrival at the Kedarnath Helipad, our dedicated team will be present to assist you with check-in to your Hotel at Kedarnath.
• Later all passengers will be taken for Special darshan at the Kedarnath temple. Our teams will guide passengers when to go for darshans depending on crowd situation at the temple.
• The Distance from helipad to Kedarnath temple is about 500 meters. The altitude at temple is 11500 feet. It is advised to walk slowly at Kedarnath. It normally takes 15 20 mins for an average person to walk from helipad to temple.
• Later in the day everyone must see the renovated Shankaracharya Samadhi which is now converted in to a Shankaracharya memorial. More adventurous ones can also do a climb of Bhairon Mandir which is approx. 500-600 meters of steep trek from temple Kedarnath temple is seeing very large number of visitors now a days.
• In the evening our teams will organize Rudrabhishek/Special Puja which takes place at the temple throughout the night. Our teams will discuss the schedule with you and accordingly arrange Rudrabhishek inside the temple in coordination with temple committee. Visitors should expect a waiting time of 30-45 minutes outside the temple before the special Puja.

One gets a very close view of mighty Chaukhamba Peak moments after taking off for Badrinath. Chaukhamba is one of the most attractive peaks of Garhwal and the highest and best peak on our route. We will also get to see the aerial darshan of famous Tungnath temple. The highest Lord Shiva temple on earth which is also one of the main temples of Panch Kedar circuit. If the weather is clear we may get to see majestic
Nanda Devi peak near Joshimath which is the second highest peak of India and also worshipped as protector of Himalayas by people of Uttarakhand.
• Badrinath is the main Dham in Chardham Yatra. Located at 10,000 feet altitude on the
banks of river Alaknanda, and in middle of Nar and Narayan Parvat. This Lord Vishnu
temple was established by sage Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
• Badrinath is a small picturusque town. After landing first we will go and check in into
Hotel Dikesh Inn/Similar.
• SANDHYA ARTI This is the highlight of our Do Dham Yatra, In the evening our teams
will organize Sandhya Arti between 04:00PM to 07:00PM. Here you will able to
experience the divine experience of Arti inside the Badrinath Temple.
• Later time free to relax and enjoy the scenic views around your hotel.
