The excitement begins with your arrival in Dehradun. Our teams will arrange pickup from Dehradun Airport or Railway station. Our Chardham Yatra starts in the lap of luxury, surrounded with nature. Nestled on the foothills of Queen of Hills Mussoorie, amidst picturesque Malsi forest and majestic Himalayan range, lies the sprawling campus of Hotel Hyatt Regency, Dehradun, the first 5-star deluxe hotel of Dehradun. Our journey for Chardham Yatra starts here and makes the yatra filled with everlasting memories.
Passengers can relax in the hotel on Day One or plan any local sightseeing on their own on this day. Our teams will meet all passengers at 7.30PM in hotel lobby and brief them about travel plans.
IMPORTANT – All passengers MUST note that ONLY 5 KG baggage is allowed per passenger in the helicopter. Excess baggage will not be allowed to go onboard.Aviation will provide small duffle bags for each passenger in which the luggage will have to be shifted. No other bags or suitcases will be permitted to go on board.
Helicopter flying starts early in the morning at 5.30 AM. All passengers for the Package 1 are advised to positively leave their hotel by 5 AM.
After a short briefing passengers will board their helicopters for onward journey. Our pilots are specially trained to give exciting commentary to passengers about the mesmerizing views of Snow clad Himalayan peaks and all the important sites falling enroute the helicopter route. Some of them will also tell you mythological stories about Chardham yatra during the helicopter ride.
Kharsali is a small and beautiful village from where trek starts for Yamunotri temple. This village is at an altitude of 8500 feet. After getting down from helicopter passengers will be taken to the nearby Hotel Yamunakriti for check in. Hot breakfast will be available at the hotel. After completing Breakfast passengers will get the palki ( carried by 4 persons ) which will take them to the temple. The trip by palki takes around 3 hours in going and nearly 2 hours on return. Our tour guide will escort the passengers at temple for darshan.
Hotel: Kharsali is a small and remote village. Hotel quality here is basic but we ensure that rooms and linen are very clean. Food is pure and homely. All essential amenities are available in the room.
Sightseeing: All passengers are advised to visit the nearby Shani temple in evening. As per the Legend God Shani is the son of Surya ( Sun ) and brother of Goddess Yamuna and this temple is supposedly the first and oldest Shani temple anywhere in the world. Local people believe that temple deity regularly demonstrates divine powers to them.
Helicopter ride from Yamunotri to Gangotri will take you over some amazing bugyals and snow-clad peaks. Bugyals are essentially meadows or large green patches found in Himalayas at 10,000 feet and above altitude. Passengers may get to see Gangotri group of peaks during this ride.

A hidden jewel near Gangotri Dham, Harsil is a serene Himalayan hamlet nestled on banks of river Bhagirathi at 8500 feet altitude and surrounded by snow clad mountains, pine forests and apple orchards. Often referred to as the mini-Switzerland of India, time seems to have stopped at this poetic hill station dotted with traditional houses and ancient temples. Some parts of the famous Raj Kapoor movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili were shot in Harsil.
• Our teams will receive passengers at Harsil helipad at take them straight to temple or the hotel as per passengers choice.
• Hotel in Harsil is 2 Kms from helipad and the temple is nearly 22 Kms from the helipad and the drive to temple takes nearly 1 hour.
• There is a walk of about 400 meters at Gangotri from car parking to temple. Our team will escort the passengers for temple darshan.
• Passengers are advised to return to hotel by lunch time and relax in the natural surroundings.
Hotel: Himalayan Nature Resort is a small and beautiful resort nestled in between apple orchards and Bhagirathi and Jalandhari rivers. Rooms are very good and the best part is the amazing view of snow-clad peaks which one gets from this resort.
Sightseeing : According to the local legend, the Harsil got its name from the rivers Bhagirathi and the Jalandhari as once they had an argument over their significance. Lord Vishnu also known as Hari, was asked to intervene. He turned himself into a great stone, a shila, and absorbed their anger. Even today, after Hari-shila (or Harsil), the waters of the two rivers have become a little less turbulent. Guests must visit the ancient Lord Vishnu temple and Hari Shila which is walking distance from the resort. Enjoy the bonfire on the riverside in the evening at the resort. The sheer experience of staying at this small resort is simply mesmerizing due to its amazing location and surroundings. They can also visit nearby Bhutia village.

• The journey from Harsil to Kedarnath by helicopter takes you through one of the most enchanting peaks of this yatra. One can see majestic Himalayan peaks like Shivling, Thalaysagar, Bhrigupanth, Meru, Sumeru and Kedar dome or Kedar peak.
• We will land at Sersi helipad in Kedar valley. This is our base point for Kedarnath. You have arrived at one of the most exciting accomodation of the trip, The Tailwind Resort, Sersi. This resort is run and managed by Heritage Aviation team. We have very high-end exclusive rooms and surrounded by lush green forests and mountains
• We generally give 3 hours at Kedarnath for darshans. Our teams at Kedar will arrange Special darshans and Puja inside the temple.
• The Distance from helipad to Kedarnath temple is about 500 meters. The altitude at temple is 11500 feet. It is advised to walk slowly at Kedarnath. It normally takes 15–20 mins for an average person to walk from helipad to temple.
Sightseeing: Passengers return to Sersi helipad for night stay around lunch time. Around 3 PM all passengers will be taken to ancient Triyuginarayan Temple for darshans. It is 18 Kms from Sersi helipad and by car it takes 45 mins one way to drive. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Godess Parvati got married at this temple. Many people from across the country visit this temple and get their marriage ceremony performed here.

One gets a very close view of mighty Chaukhamba Peak moments after taking off for Badrinath. Chaukhamba is one of the most attractive peaks of Garhwal and the highest and best peak on our route. We will also get to see the aerial darshan of famous Tungnath temple. The highest Lord Shiva temple on earth which is also one of the main temples of Panch Kedar circuit. If the weather is clear we may get to see majestic Nanda Devi peak near Joshimath which is the second highest peak of India and also worshipped as protector of Himalayas by people of Uttarakhand.
• Badrinath is the main Dham in Chardham Yatra. Located at 10,000 feet altitude on the banks of river Alaknanda, and in middle of Nar and Narayan Parvat. This Lord Vishnu temple was established by sage Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
• Badrinath is a small picturusque town. After landing first we will go and check in into Hotel Sarovar Portico. Helipad to hotel distance is 1 Kms.
• Darshans will be done in evening around 6 PM.
• MANA Village – Visit to MANA Village is must for every passenger Mana is a very ancient village with huge mythological significance. It is believed that Maharishi Ved Vyas composed the epic Mahabharata with help from Lord Ganesha in a small cave which is known as Vyas Cave or Vyas Gufa in Mana Village. Also the Pandavas after the Mahabharat returned to heaven via Mana village. We advise that everyone should visit Mana Village in afternoon. It is 3 kms from the hotel.
• BHIM PUL The Pandavas after the Mahabharata war while going to Heaven passed through Mana Village. After a 15 min walk inside the village there is a small stone bridge which is known as Bhim Pul. It is believed that when Draupadi was not able to jump across the river Bhim pulled this huge stone and made a bridge for her. One will be surprised to see that this bridge stands without any support.
MAHABHISHEK PUJA – This Puja starts at 4:00 AM and lasts for 2.5 hours. Only 50–60 people are allowed to sit inside the temple for this Puja. The shringar of the deity is changed in the morning as per the ancient traditions and this is a very rare sight to witness.
We suggest everyone should have early dinner and sleep early in order to get up at 2:30 AM – 3:00 AM for Mahabhishek Puja. Our teams will pick up around 3.30 AM from hotel and take you to temple to attend Mahabhishek Puja to all those who are interested.
After the puja guests will come back to hotel and have breakfast and quickly get ready for return journey.
